The Doctor's Redemption (Shadow Creek, Montana #3) by Victoria James is a heart wrenching story about redemption (as the title already gives away), love and forgiveness.

While this is the third book in the series it was my personal first. And I am honestly afraid of reading the other two in case they are about the secondary characters of this book. The book is readable as a standalone but I learned so much about the past of those characters here that mad my heart break and shatter. So in case you want to read the whole series you should start in the right order or you will end up like me afraid of what had happened.

From the first pages on there is no big mystery between the reader and the leading characters. There is no question where the characters are positioned.

While the horrible details of their past slowly unravels in front of their eyes. The reader gets to follow the leading characters on a journey from guilt, to friendship… to maybe something more ?

Gwen is such a strong character. And it was no wonder that Luke did not stand a chance against her and her strong family. No matter how resolved he was. The reader almost could feel the waves of guilt and sorrow coming from him.

I really loved this book and the writing style of this author and can totally recommend it to everybody who thinks this might be a blurb worth reading.
